Responsible for performing various warehouse and inventory tasks; including receiving, storing, issuing and delivery of material, and reporting of inventory transactions.
There is one position available and the position will be filled at one of three job grade levels: Material Handler I, job grade 2; Material Handler II, job grade 3; or Senior Material Handler, job grade 4. This decision will be based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate selected, and Tri-State business needs at the time of hire.

- Receive, count and store inventory materials, utilizing the computerized inventory software and PC.
- Assemble and issue materials as required by construction or maintenance personnel.
- Complete and process necessary forms to record inventory transactions on the computerized inventory system.These include charge and credit tickets, receiving reports, cycle counts, and freight records.
- Assemble, account for and deliver materials to construction sites, field crews, members or storage sites as required.
- Assume, in the absence of the Warehouse Coordinator, all duties and responsibilities necessary to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the warehouse.
- Ensure standards of safety are in place and followed for all tasks to include equipment use, material storage and building security.
- Assist in coordinating shipping and receiving of materials with construction and operations personnel.
- Assist with cycle counts for inventory to include identification counting and record keeping on the computerized inventory system.
- Prepare reports and special projects as required.
- General maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse, mechanical equipment, offices and surrounding areas.
- Because Tri-State is an electric utility with continuous service obligations to its customers, regular, reliable, and predictable performance of the essential functions and responsibilities is an essential function of the job.
- Because Tri-State has an obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to its customers, the ability to work overtime at any time of the day or week is considered an essential function of the job.
- High school level reading and math skills.
- Ability to assume responsibility and work independently with little or no supervision.Includes decisions and determinations incidental to managing the warehouse.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate personal computer and associated software.
- Ability to operate and maintain mechanical equipment, to include Forklift, Pallet Jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform basic carpentry using hand tools and/or power equipment.
- Lifting is a requirement of the job.
