Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within the warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining smooth shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that products are handled safely and effectively.
Duties
•
Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and pallet jacks, to move materials throughout the warehouse.
•
Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate order picking and inventory management.
•
Load and unload trucks, verifying the contents against shipping documents.
•
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
•
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs.
•
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and enhance productivity.
Qualifications
•
Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
•
Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment; certification is a plus.
•
Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as order picking procedures.
•
Strong understanding of materials handling techniques.
•
Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA standards.
•
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
•
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
