Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler (must have extensive Forklift usage) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for utilizing Forklift & Handheld Computer & Inventory and implementing our standards of quality to enhance our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

•

Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to transport materials safely throughout the warehouse.

•

Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.

•

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability

•

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

•

A commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of work

•

Math skills (add/subtract/multiply)

•

Daily inventory

•

Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and other heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance

•

Assist Manager with Inventory

•

Staging totes

•

Moving totes

•

Tags & part #’s

•

Handheld computer usage

•

Consolidate totes

•

Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions

•

Will report directly to Inventory Materials Manager

•

Create / maintain labels, jobs, hours, inventory, tags, part #’s, etc.

•

Other duties as assigned

•

Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

Skills

•

Math skills counting inventory

•

Extensive Forklift moving totes/drums/gallons/pails/pallets

•

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

•

Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
