About This Job

Summary:

A Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and control of materials, products, and supplies within a warehouse, manufacturing plant, or distribution center. They ensure materials are properly received, stored, and delivered to their appropriate locations in a timely and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Load, unload, and move materials using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment

•

Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders or invoices

•

Store materials in designated areas, following inventory control procedures

•

Prepare and stage materials for production or shipment

•

Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and material movements

•

Perform routine cycle counts and report discrepancies

•

Follow safety procedures and regulations when handling hazardous materials or operating machinery

•

Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards

•

Assist in other warehouse or production duties as assigned

Qualifications:

•

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

•

Previous warehouse or material handling experience is a plus

•

Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification may be required)

•

Basic math and computer skills for inventory tracking

•

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

•

Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and stand for long periods

•

Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team-oriented environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
