4:00 pm to 2:00 am, Monday-Thursday
The basic function of a Material Handler is to provide support to the production floor and be able to handle all job functions as they relate to this position.
•Ability to move parts from workstation to workstation and other areas of the manufacturing floor.
•Responsible for keeping the production floor supplied with all necessary parts and supplies. Routers must be signed off before moving to the next operation.
•Removing powder from presses and restocking with proper approved powder that has an approved sticker prior to moving to the production floor and making sure that the correct powder goes to the press.
•Ensure that all skids and carts are properly tagged with pertinent information and the proper routing.
•Consistency in the placement of parts in proper lanes in quality assurance and taking skids that are quality assurance evaluated to proper areas.
•Removal of ACCEPTED and FINALED product from Q.A. and route to appropriate destination.
•Boxes must be filled out with the part number, lot number, counts and date in neat legible writing.
•Ability to load and unload all trucks correctly and ensure that all pertinent paperwork is done accurately and on time and all products are shipped correctly according to customer requirements.
•Ability to identify powder correctly and use the Powder Kanban keeping powder in sequence by pack number and lot number. Inform team lead of a material or a lot change.
•Take care of scrap at the end of shift.
•Able to arrange and organize skids and parts in their designated areas.
•Proper rotation of stock - Using the oldest first.
•Load and unloading of temper furnaces.
•Lend support to the shipping & receiving associate when time permits.
•Must be able to pass all pertinent testing for a forklift license.
•Must practice all safety rules and regulations when always driving the forklift.
Performs any other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor and assumes other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, but which are logically inherent to the function of a Material Handler.
