The Material Controller will be responsible for managing and coordinating the flow of ingots, billets, and related raw materials to ensure on-time availability for production, sales orders, and customer requirements. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory, issuing production and conversion orders, coordinating with internal and external conversion sources, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
· Manage inventory of ingots, billets, and raw materials.
· Create and process melt, production, and conversion orders in ERP.
· Verify and record material receipts; support cycle counts and month-end reconciliation.
· Issue orders to meet inventory and customer needs; calculate yields and select conversion sources.
· Coordinate internal/external conversion, logistics, and weekly status reporting.
· Prepare data sheets and certification documentation; support QC and production planning.
· Maintain accurate logs, records, and required documentation.
· Operate x-ray equipment to verify alloy identity per procedures.
· Participate in production meetings and assist with other duties as assigned
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in using a PC and Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstration of leadership and problem-solving abilities.
· Must be able to work in a cross-functional, inter-department team environment.
· Must be able to effectively communicate and cooperate with customers, vendors, and interoffice departments/personnel.
