Laser Operator - 1st or 2nd Shift

Family owned and growing steel service center in Meriden is looking for the right experienced candidate to join our team. We are looking to fill an immediate opening to operate CNC Lasers (1st and 2nd shift available). Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Proper fulfillment of work orders

-Program and / or load pre-drawn files via onboard programming software

-Loading/unloading material via forklift

-Maintain clean work area

-Use of hand/power tools as needed

-Be mindful and work in a safe fashion

-Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

-Support and assist in other duties around the shop as they arise

Candidate requirements:

-Must be at least 18 years of age

-Good work ethic and attitude

-Experience with CNC Lasers

-Ability to read and interpret blue prints and drawings

-Basic and shop math knowledge

-Ability to properly read and use measuring tools as required

-Forklift certification preferred

-Ability to lift at least 50lbs. by yourself

-Must be able to work overtime when needed
