Tidewater has an immediate opening for a Manager, Pipeline Integrity. This is a full-time position reporting into our Calgary Head Office. This is a fast paced, deadline driven role that requires superb organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
In this position you will be responsible for managing the integrity of a legacy 12-inch crude oil pipeline system, spanning 398 kilometers through varied and challenging terrain in British Columbia. This role ensures pipeline safety, environmental protection, regulatory compliance, and the long-term integrity of the asset. A significant part of the role includes managing geohazard risks and applying sustainable practices during integrity activities. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a reputable oil and gas company.
Integrity Program Management: Oversee the existing pipeline integrity program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Regularly assess program effectiveness and implement necessary adjustments.
Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Integrity Management Program (IMP) in accordance with CSA Z662, BCER regulations, and company standards.
Plan and manage in-line inspection (ILI) activities (MFL, geometry, crack detection) and analyze resulting data to prioritize anomaly responses.
System Oversight: Maintain and manage the pipeline system, ensuring it operates smoothly and efficiently. This involves regular monitoring, maintenance planning, and troubleshooting to prevent and address issues proactively.
Improvements and Innovations: Identify opportunities for enhancing system performance and integrity. Develop and execute strategic plans to implement these improvements, leveraging new technologies and methods to optimize operations.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop necessary team, foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Effectively coordinate and oversee multiple crews ensuring proper execution of maintenance work and optimizing expenditures and scope of budgets.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to communicate program goals, progress, and outcomes. Ensure transparency and alignment with organizational objectives.
Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in legacy pipeline integrity management or a similar role
Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements
Excellent leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to drive improvements and manage complex systems
Comprehensive understanding of Canadian and British Columbia pipeline regulations, standards and engineering best practice governance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to manage and execute on an annual capital maintenance program of $15M

Ability to work independently and remotely, with a willingness to travel as needed
