The Manager of T&D Asset Performance & Reliability is responsible to ensure the U. S. transmission and distribution (T&D) assets are meeting their planned financial and operational performance objectives. This position leads a team of reliability and performance engineers to monitor the operational performance and health of assets. The team is tasked with utilizing data and other forms of operational results to quantify risks and identify asset performance improvement opportunities.
- Oversees reliability strategy initiatives and improvements.
- Develops and maintains asset strategy plans
- Develops processes and tools necessary to capture, analyze, monitor, trend, and report asset condition indicators and asset health indices.
- Develops asset performance improvement opportunities.
- Improves overall data relevance and implements processes to improve data quality and collection.
- Provides continuous assessment of asset performance by monitoring the asset register and related records.
- Ensures root cause analyses (RCAs) are performed on critical T&D equipment failures.
- Ensures all recommendations from RCAs are implemented across the US T&D businesses.
- Supports development and updates of Asset Life Cycle Plans (ALCP) for critical asset classes.
- Ensures accurate monitoring and reporting of T&D asset performance and metrics.
- Establishes T&D operational KPI targets based on industry standards and statistical analysis.
- Determines plan for external benchmarking in the areas of business performance and asset performance that includes defining appropriate KPI's and targets.
- Audits inspection and maintenance programs for compliance.
- 5-10 years of experience in T&D, reliability engineering, or related operations role
- BS or MS Degree in Engineering preferred, bachelor's degree required
- Demonstrated superior leadership skills
- Understanding of Transmission and Distribution system operation, design and utility business processes
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others as well as operate with minimal supervision
- Experience in reliability engineering principles and methodology
- Experience with root cause and failure modes analysis methods
- Experience in utilizing results of data analytics and database tools
- Ability to manage and work multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
