We are looking for a Manager of Engineering to support projects in North America. The successful candidate can work from a remote location as long as they are able to support West Coast business hours.

What you'll do:

- Oversee and synchronize all outsourced engineering scopes—Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Electrical (collection, substation/transmission), and Performance Modeling—throughout the full project lifecycle (bid through close-out).

- Act as the primary interface with Engineers of Record, Owner’s Engineers, Independent Engineers, and internal Substation/Transmission SME to secure technical alignment and approvals.

- Serve as a key liaison between internal teams (Sales/Development, Pre-construction, Construction, Operations) and external design consultants, ensuring expectations, deliverables, and deadlines are clearly communicated and met.

- Review and approve design sets created by external resources, integrating feedback to optimize quality, code compliance, constructability, and installed cost.

- Develop, review, and approve critical technical deliverables internally, including single-line diagrams, layout drawings, performance models, and bills of material.

- Drive QA/QC processes and enforce compliance with NEC, IEEE/ANSI, UL, fire, building, and local grid-connection standards across all disciplines.

- Provide hands-on technical support during construction and commissioning — resolving queries, conducting site visits, and validating system performance against design criteria.

- Lead multidisciplinary design-review sessions, coordinating feedback from external consultants, project owners, permitting and construction teams while facilitating value engineering solutions.

- Prepare and manage scopes of work, RFPs, and technical specifications for external engineering consultants and equipment procurement packages.

- Conduct feasibility assessments, site due-diligence, and system sizing studies to optimize design parameters and cost profiles.

- Mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering technical growth and ensuring consistency with corporate engineering standards.

- Collaborate with internal or external development teams managing permitting, environmental, and right-of-way boundaries to ensure constraints are considered for equipment location/height, grading, structural and other design elements.

What you'll bring:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or related field (master’s preferred).

- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

- 5+ years of progressive experience in detailed design and engineering for utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects greater than 100MW.

- Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and external interdisciplinary teams through complex deliverables.

- Experience working with both in-house and external design teams.

- Technical expertise in PV array and battery-storage system design, including collection systems, site grading, structural foundations, and geotechnical integration.

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, NEC/IEEE/ANSI/NESC codes, safety standards, UL standards, and quality assurance processes for renewable energy projects.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability for cross-functional coordination.

- Proficiency with industry-standard design and engineering software including AutoCAD and PVsyst is a must. Proficiency with ETAP, PVcase, or similar tools is a plus.

- Willingness to travel (up to 30%) for site assessments, construction support, and commissioning activities.

- Strong project management capabilities, including risk identification, schedule oversight, and cross-functional coordination.
