Responsibilities:
•Oversee and guide improvements to current interconnection process through development, engineering, construction and as needed in operations.
•Coordinate work between multiple internal and external stakeholders to assist with interconnection and utility deliverables.
•Assist interconnection and utility due diligence pre-project acquisition.
•Keep track of interconnection requirements, times, costs and trends to inform expectations for new business by region/utility.
•Serve as primary point of contact and manage utility relations in all applicable project markets.
•Drive utility resources through project construction and completion for all projects (PV, BESS, EV), ensuring timely achievement of project milestones.
•Drive or help drive the timely interconnection of all self-developed projects, including PV, BESS and EVCI.
•Serve as the lead in escalation and resolution of any issues with utilities and ISO/RTOs.
•Coordinate with SCADA Manager on the operational hand-off of assets with Utility interactivity and controls.
Qualifications
•Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a combination of relevant education and work experience.
•7-10 years of experience in Distributed Generation, specifically solar and/or BESS with a minimum 3 years demonstrated experience managing utilities and interconnection processes.
•Working knowledge of grid curtailment hardware and regulatory requirements
•Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
•Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all organizational levels
•Advanced analytical problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
•Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills
•Resourceful, confident and and independent self-starter
