Purpose of Role:

Hudbay is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a new Manager, External Communications role to be based in our downtown Toronto Corporate office (located at 25 York Street) as a member of the Investor Relations and External Communications group. The purpose of this role is to execute our external communications program by developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies to further enhance the company’s brand reputation and engagement with key stakeholders.

Key aspects of the role include developing effective messaging to share the company’s story and reach our target audiences, leading our media relations program, developing strategies to further enhance our company brand reputation, coordinate communication efforts across the business, managing our social media program and external websites, supporting investor relations activities and providing back-up support in the absence of other team members.
