Purpose

The role leads the strategy, design and implementation of the Company's electric, natural gas and water efficiency programs. The position develops long-term business plans for influencing market adoption of efficiency strategies in the residential, commercial, industrial and municipal sectors, and manages internal teams, stakeholder relationships and a network of vendors to deliver on all program goals.


Accountabilities

- Responsible for managing the activities of the regional efficiency team. Selects, develops, trains, motivates, and evaluates the performance of direct reporting staff.

- Develops and maintains relationships at all levels across a matrixed organization to appropriately represent and advocate customer and department needs.

- Timely reporting of team goals to regional executives and corporate is required. Advanced level of both verbal and written communication skills with a variety of internal and external customers, very strong conflict resolution and active listening skills.

- Develops and maintains business relationships with key governmental, regulatory, and community officials to facilitate the overall success of the department strategy.

- Lead representation of the company in stakeholder engagement negotiations.

- Serves as an expert witness in support of the Company's program offerings and associated activities during regulatory procedures.

- Represents the company at high level customer engagements, industry events and strategic working groups.

- Maintains a high level knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends and new technologies through industry engagements.

- Develops short and long-term strategic plans and initiatives in order to achieve corporate defined goals and customer expectations.

- Oversees the design and development of the Company's customer programs including the creation of multi-year program plans, regulatory filings, budgets and goals.

- Identifies and delivers on operational efficiencies related to the overall delivery of customer programs.

- Leads or contributes to cross company initiatives to advance offerings for enhanced customer experience.

- Leads the overall go to market strategy for program delivery including the development of market partner and vendor networks to delivery on program activities obtained through competitive procurements.

- Develops and streamlines policies and procedures across multiple jurisdictions to deliver on all goals in the manner that drives cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

- Drives team to deliver on all goals associated with internal and external KPIs focused on successfully recovering program costs and earning performance incentives.


Education and Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field

- 10+ Years Energy Efficiency Program Management Experience

- Demonstrated experience managing remote team and program in multiple jurisdictions
