Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the operational reliability and efficiency of production machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician with a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•Perform routine maintenance and inspections on production machinery and equipment.
•Identify and address mechanical, electrical, or other issues to minimize downtime.
•Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
•Collaborate with equipment manufacturers to address complex technical issues.
•Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components, parts, or systems.
•Ensure that replaced parts meet quality and safety standards.
•Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for key machinery.
•Conduct preventive maintenance activities to prevent breakdowns.
•Calibrate and adjust machinery to meet production specifications.
•Collaborate with production teams to optimize machine settings.
•Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
•Report any safety hazards or concerns to the Production Manager.
•Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
•Document parts used, labor hours, and other relevant information.
•Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts and supplies.
•Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of replacement parts.
•Collaborate with production and other departments to address maintenance needs.
•Provide technical support to production teams when needed.
•Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements.
•Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager on continuous improvement initiative.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
•Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or production environment.
•Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Ability to operate production machinery for troubleshooting purposes.
•Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Physical Requirements:
•Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
•Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
•Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Working Conditions:
•Combination of office and production floor settings.
•Exposure to dust and biochar particles (appropriate personal protective equipment provided).
