About This Job

Support production operations by performing preventative electrical/mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of steel deck production equipment, as well as repairs and maintenance of facility.

Essential Duties:

•

Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical/mechanical systems.

•

Analyze, troubleshoot and repair equipment - overhead cranes, roll formers, press brakes and resistance welders.

•

Assist with the servicing and repairing of more complex equipment.

•

Comply with applicable regulations and the department's Safety program

•

Perform general building repairs and maintenance

•

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

•

At least 5 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.

•

Experience in welding and fabricating.

•

Knowledge of overhead cranes, bearings, hydraulics, electrical panels (120V, 240V, 480V) and electric motors and drives

•

Ability to read measurements accurately.

•

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure.

•

Must have extensive electrical knowledge.

•

Experience in operating, troubleshooting and repairing various types of production machinery preferably in a manufacturing environment.

•

Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.

•

Strong PLC knowledge/experience.

•

Must have basic knowledge of lock out / tag out and PPE.

•

Licensed electrician, preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

•

Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; handle objects, tools, controls and reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

•

Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

•

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must have normal color vision.

Work Environment

•

Regularly works near moving mechanical parts;

•

Work may be performed in high places and/or in outside weather conditions.

•

Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals

•

The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
