Key Responsibilities Include
• Perform and manage preventive maintenance for equipment as scheduled. Manage and update the preventive maintenance program and schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as required. Manage a list of issues that need to be addressed. Coordinate / schedule the repair with engineers and lab supervisors.
• Test operation of equipment following repair or servicing to assure acceptability.
• Perform electrical/mechanical repair and installation to meet applicable codes and requirements.
• Perform plumbing repair and installation to meet applicable codes and requirements.
• Install piping, hoses, and tubing for air, hydraulic and water as required. Perform work on hydraulic power unit.
• Service and repair high pressure components used for testing: Rebuild pumps, valves, and other high-pressure components.
• Manage on site contractors: from scheduling the service, safety orientation to validation of completed work. Complete all applicable permits (Work permit, Risk analysis, LOTO, Hot work).
• Use all required hand and power tools including, but not limited to drill, saw, grinder and jacks, as well as ladders, cranes, forklift, man lift, and other maintenance equipment.
• Provide proper record keeping, documentation, and information for, but not limited to Machine files, repair files.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical parts manuals such as electrical and mechanical diagrams, gauges, meters, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• Maintain and support our LOTO program: audit LOTO procedure, perform training, review training material.
• Perform tasks with minimal supervision.
• Follow all applicable work instructions, specifications and requirements.
• Follow all Company Rules, Procedures and Policies. Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Any other duties as assigned by Methods Engineering Manager.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance (including motors, controls, power supplies, power distribution, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, and power transmission).
• Requires use of Smartsheet / Excel to manage preventive and corrective maintenance program.
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance and machine tool repair experience.
• Coursework in mechanics, electrical, electronics, metallurgy, or related field from a high school, technical or community college.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Should be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and push/pull 75 lbs.
• Ability to understand and execute instructions well.
