Ionbond is looking for a skilled and driven Maintenance Technician to support our growing operations. In this hands-on role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring our production equipment operates at peak performance through proactive maintenance, timely repairs, and equipment rebuilds. This position offers a diverse range of responsibilities across electrical, mechanical, and general facility maintenance. We’re seeking candidates with a background in industrial manufacturing, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for technical excellence. Ionbond provides advanced coating solutions for applications in the aerospace, medical, food contact, automotive, decorative, tooling and fuel cells industries. We offer a broad range of hard, low-friction, wear-resistant coatings based on PVD, PACVD and CVD technologies.

- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of equipment, cleaning lines, and other plant machinery
- Troubleshoot vacuum systems with comfortable level in working around high-voltage components
- Evaluate the repairs and all maintenance needs within the plant.
- Document and maintain all equipment modifications, maintenance histories, drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Managment System to track work orders, manage spare parts inventory, and generate reports.
- Monitor uptime for all equipment; develop and implement plans to minimize equipment breakdown
- Collaborate and communicate input to Managers and Process Engineers to resolve manufacturing interruptions, inconsistent process results, and equipment downtime
- Responsible for 5S Program in working areas
- Maintain compliance with all relevant safety regulations and protocols.
- Other facility maintenance tasks needed or as apparent

Must have a minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Degree/certification in engineering, technical or trade training preferred; Diploma/GED minimum education required. Experience with vacuum technology is preferred. Strong ability with understanding failure mechanisms, ability to isolate, determine root cause, and repair. Strong electrical skills and working knowledge of control systems, PLC controls. Ability to work independently, is a self-starter, and is highly motivated to complete projects and meet deadlines. Possess good communication skills; able to communicate clearly with co-workers, management, and suppliers, both verbally and in email communications. Available to work overtime and weekends as needed. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a criminal background check and physical examination. Able to travel occasionally to other U.S. centers and internationally as required.
