SCOPE:




The Maintenance Technician will engage in performing various maintenance activities at RegO. Will respond to maintenance requests after being submitted through an automated system. The Maintenance Technician will also complete projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action.
Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment at the proper intervals.
Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
Review production schedule and when equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing, changes over equipment to new sizes or performs scheduled maintenance.
Test equipment to check operation.
Clears jams and sets aside product for inspection and rework. Tries out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime.
Examine, tests, and measures product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments, and records data on appropriate forms.
Checks product for visual defects.
Make preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
Examines defects and analyzes spoilage causes and, where possible, takes corrective action.
Analyzes and records cause of production delays on daily production report.
Repair and adjust small machines, e.g. drill presses, punch presses, grinding and buffing heads, riveters, bench power and hand tools to involve replacement of bearings, spindles, electrical switches, etc.
Work from drawings, sketches, specifications and instruction manuals
Use scale, square, levels, miscellaneous power bench tools, wrenches, carpentry tools, etc. May oil and grease equipment in absence of oiler and greaser. Performs product examination and rework when line is down due to causes beyond mechanic's control.


What You'd Bring:


Required Education and/or Experience:

Ten years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Must be knowledgeable in skilled trades


Required Qualifications:

Must have well-rounded knowledge of the practices, tools, equipment, and materials used within the Civacon manufacturing environment
Understanding of building codes is desirable
Must possess basic reading, writing, and computation skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
Ability to effectively problem-solve
Good interpersonal communication skills
High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

Language Skills: Ability to read, write, verbalize and comprehend instructions and correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to team members, co-workers and outside vendors.

Physical and Visual Activities: Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, balancing, stooping, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, acuity-far, acuity-near, depth perception and field of vision. See all colors.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, you may be standing, or sitting for long periods of time. You may be frequently required to walk, bend, squat, or twist.

Environment/Atmospheric Conditions: You will spend time in an office environment as well as out on the shop floor. You may be exposed to loud operating machinery, hot and cold temperatures, chemicals and vapors.
