WestCorp Solutions is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support our client at their facility east of Vancouver, BC. This role will develop and coordinate multidisciplinary maintenance plans for plant equipment and facilities – including both day-to-day and outage activities – while promoting safety and continuous improvement.
Location: Greater Vancouver Area, BC (onsite at client facility) or Calgary, AB (remote) Contract Length: 1-year initial contract, annual renewals based on operational requirements. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour days Travel: If based in Calgary, AB, regular business travel will be required approximately once per month. All expenses must be authorized in advance and will be reimbursed monthly. Wage: $80-$90 per hour (independent contractor)
- Develop and sustain an effective planned maintenance program.
- Prepare job plans and maximize resource productivity, including planned costs, parts, materials, special tools, external services, and documentation.
- Manage short- and long-range maintenance plans, adjusting for variations due to resource availability, completed work, or additional requirements.
- Monitor and manage maintenance work requests, coordinating with outages where possible to optimize resources and reduce downtime.
- Maintain and optimize job plans, task lists, strategies, and procedures through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in developing broader maintenance programs and provide input to improve effectiveness, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant client policies and standards, including the Management of Change (MOC) process and maintenance business processes.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environment standards, ensuring effective actions and programs are in place to support safety and reliability performance goals.
- Journeyperson or Red Seal certification in a Mechanical discipline, or equivalent.
- 7+ years of planning experience in Oil & Gas or other industrial environments.- Experience with both day-to-day and turnaround/outage maintenance planning.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite (required).
- Experience with Asset Lifecycle Information Management (ALIM) is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
