About the Role


The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department. This includes managing the upkeep of all manufacturing assets, managing the maintenance budget and resources, leading a team of maintenance technicians, and assisting in the design and installation of new systems and equipment. This position requires a focus on both mechanical and electrical systems, including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).



What You’ll Do


- Oversees, manages, and directs all maintenance procedures and operations.

- Troubleshoots mechanical and electrical issues in metal fabrication equipment and develops effective solutions.

- Programs, troubleshoots, and optimizes PLCs to enhance the automation and efficiency of manufacturing processes.

- Strives to consistently meet or exceed customer service standards by ensuring prompt and accurate completion of service requests.

- Manages the maintenance budget, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-effective solutions without compromising quality and safety standards.

- Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.

- Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.

- Develops and implements preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and reduce repair costs.

- Coordinates with procurement to ensure the availability of necessary spare parts and equipment for repairs and maintenance activities.

- Maintains and updates maintenance logs, records, and reports, documenting all maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

- Leads a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.

- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.

- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

- Coordinates work performed outside by contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.

- Owns and promotes good housekeeping and follows established safety procedures.

- Follows all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.

- Maintains awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; reports all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.



Additional Expectation


- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.

- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.

- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.

- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.



What You’ll Bring


- At least 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing environment.

- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and PLC programming.

- Experience with CNC machines, welding equipment, and metal cutting tools.

- Familiarity with maintenance software (CMMS).

- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.) applications and computer technology.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong leadership and managerial attributes; ability to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.

- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.

- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
