The Maintenance Coordination Specialist I leads advanced maintenance planning efforts by managing complex SAP PM data, loading preventive schedules, and troubleshooting system issues. They play a key role in developing and integrating FMEA outputs from SAP data, facilitating cross-functional workshops, and analyzing performance metrics to identify systemic reliability gaps. This role drives standardization across sites, mentors junior staff, and collaborates with reliability engineers to ensure continuous improvement in fleet-wide maintenance practices.
- Maintain/Manage SAP PM environment
- Load preventive maintenance schedules (developed from OEM manuals and SME input) into SAP
- Troubleshoot SAP-related scheduling issues and provide timely resolutions
- Validate accuracy of existing master data and identify missing records
- Assist with entry or correction of Master Data when necessary
- Extract corrective maintenance records and lead the creation of FMEA reports
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops for FMEA development and ensure outputs are integrated into SAP Task Lists and Maintenance Plans
- Develop and maintain SAP help guides and training materials to drive compliance with company policy
- Review SAP help guides and provide feedback when necessary
- Lead analysis of maintenance performance metrics, identifying systemic issues impacting uptime or cost
- Benchmark maintenance performance across sites and develop recommendations for standardization
- Collaborate with reliability engineers to prioritize improvement initiatives and track their impact
- Design dashboards/reports that highlight key performance trends for management
Recommend procedural changes to improve scheduling efficiency and reduce corrective work orders
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Certificate or associate degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in senior administrative roles
- Advanced training in SAP Plant Maintenance and tools
- Advanced understanding of Python for automating SAP data extraction and template uploads
- Specialized training in project management tools
- Comprehensive expertise in SAP and financial tools for administrative operations
- Proficient in managing complex Maintenance Plans with appropriate assignment groups in SAP
- Skilled in integrating SAP data into reporting tools (Excel, Power BI)
- Advanced understanding of FMEA principles
- Develops practical expertise in renewable energy systems, including installation and maintenance
- Strong ability to interpret and validate complex electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings
- Applies advanced root cause analysis techniques to maintenance issues and translates findings into SAP process improvements
- Able to lead cross-functional workshops to align engineering, operations, and vendor teams on maintenance standards
- Demonstrates proficiency in regulatory compliance requirements related to maintenance activities in renewable energy assets
- Lead problem-solving initiatives for complex Maintenance plan requirements
- Develop solutions for optimizing administrative workflows
- Anticipate challenges and proactively implement contingency plans
- Uses historical maintenance and reliability data to recommend optimization of preventive strategies
- Aligns corrective maintenance findings with preventive programs to reduce downtime and cost
- Act as a liaison across departments for critical planning tasks
- Represent the organization in vendor discussions
- Facilitate vendor input into SAP PM data and maintenance planning processes
- Facilitate knowledge sharing between engineering, operations, and administrative teams
- Coaches intermediate-level staff and supports knowledge transfer across the organization
- Collaborate with reliability engineers to validate and update FMEA results and drive improvements in preventive maintenance programs
- Mentor junior and intermediate administrative staff
- Lead team efforts on projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Responsible for quality assurance of outputs from junior staff (e.g., reports, SAP entries, FMEAs)
Make independent decisions on behalf of the O&M Management team
