Maintenance C

Description of Job:

Performs general maintenance work in the plant and on the building to maintain structures, electrical systems, machines, heating system, plumbing, etc. Work requires a basic knowledge of various trade fundamentals sufficient to deal with only general repairs. Make repairs and replace parts on such mechanical equipment as presses, drills and machines. Repair buildings, construct bins, shop benches, replace partitions, etc. Make crates, repair and replace electrical switches, motors and their controls, replace fuses and lighting equipment, etc. May operate and maintain heating system. Work is subject to final inspection. Previous electrical installation and trouble shooting experience. All employees in this position are required to wear safety glasses and protective shield when handling chemicals. Borroughs retains the right to train all new, incumbent and returning personnel using On the Job Training & Training Effectiveness Programs combined with mentoring of employees as deemed necessary based on experience and aptitude. Helps maintain good housekeeping and keeps materials, tools and equipment in proper place. Observes all safety regulations. Starting rate 6 labor grades less than evaluated rate with 36 months of continuous progress to become proficient.
