About This Job
Machinist
List Industries, a leader in the locker and shelving industry, is looking to add a machinist to our team at our headquarters in Deerfield Beach, FL.
Responsibilities
•
Apply creative solutions to keep manufacturing running smoothly at 100%.
•
Ensure operations can be performed safely while meeting List Industries quality standards.
•
Preform spur of the moment design and machining to solve unpredictable field problems.
•
Maintain an orderly environment that retains maximum utility for all team members.
•
Maintain the highest level of safety on jobsite and keep work area clean and organized.
Basic Qualifications
•
High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
•
2+ years working as machinist
•
able to operate all shop Machinery
•
needs to know how to surface grind
Preferred Skills and Experience
•
Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program.
•
Ability to find solutions to problems through diverse thinking while utilizing varied experience.
•
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
•
Uses machine tools to create or repair precision parts and products, often from metal
•
Work with a variety of tools like lathes, milling and grinders, both manually and with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) technology
•
Read blueprints, set up machines, operate them to precise specifications, and inspect finished products for quality
Requirements
•
Must have own tools.
•
Available to work overtime and weekends as needed.
•
Ability to lift 25 lbs. Standing
•
Climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carry may be required to perform the functions of this job.
