Machinist Assistant

Job Description

Borson Technologies is seeking a motivated Machinist Assistant to join our team in Rockdale, IL. This position will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of a variety of machines. The candidate must be able to work independently and have a willingness to learn and grow within the company. The pay is based on experience.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment

- Clean and disassemble molds.

- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Education/Experience/Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent experience in related field

- Experience operating various types of lathes, mills, presses, and boring machines preferred but not required.

- Ability to follow written instructions for machine operation.

- Ability to follow oral instruction for machine operation.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

- Need to have 1 year shop experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
