Machinist - 2nd Shift

A Snapshot of Your Day

The primary purpose of this position is to set up, operate, and maintain a variety of manual and CNC equipment. The Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machining principles, excellent technical skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

How You’ll Make an Impact

- Set up and operate manual and CNC machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to produce parts to exact specifications.

- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining operations and dimensions.

- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine attachments for each job.

- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines to ensure optimal performance.

- Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances.

- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to achieve desired results.

What You Bring

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machining preferred.

- Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software is a plus.

- Strong knowledge of machining principles, techniques, and tooling.

- Experience with manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders.

- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety, quality and productivity.

- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
