Machine Operator (Plasma/OxyFuel/Hy-Def)

Job Description

The Plasma / Oxy Burning machine operator may perform the following tasks: Plan cutting operation by studying work orders, drawings, materials, specifications, and machine parameters. Interprets geometric dimensions and holds tolerances for parts that are cut from varies plate thickness. Mark parts with the proper identifying drawing numbers and heat numbers.

The position is full-time for all shifts

JOB DUTIES:

Plan cutting operation by studying work orders, drawings, materials, specifications, and machine parameters.

Interprets geometric dimensions and tolerances.

Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications, using square, tape measure and/ or other measuring equipment.

Sets up and operates machines for parts with plasma or oxy/fuel.

Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Works well with others by showing mutual respect and consideration.

Takes pride in work produced and exhibits a professional attitude.

Performs additional duties as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Demonstrated ability to operator burning machine by entering burn files from the RAM, engineering server or modify standard shapes located on the machines control panel.

Demonstrated ability to perform simple operations, such as clocking in or out of work, marking parts with identifying numbers or symbols, etc.

Must be able to Operate a Crane
