Job Summary:

The Low Voltage Installation Foreman will be responsible for overseeing and managing Low-Voltage, Audio/Video and home-automation and trim finish installations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Manage and lead a team of low voltage technicians in the installation of cabling, conduit, and audio video equipment, as well as the dressing of equipment rack and proper wire management.

· Offer technical guidance to employees on the installation of various low voltage systems.

· Conduct training and performance monitoring to enhance employee productivity.

· Supervise job sites to ensure quality assurance and troubleshoot installation problems.

· Implement and enforce safety policies to ensure worker protection.

· Review team timesheets on a weekly basis.

· Upload images and lists to the CRM/Teams platform.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The principal responsibilities of the LV Installation Foreman shall consist of, but are not limited to the following:

· The organization and management of equipment racks, including proper wire management techniques.

· Know proper way of drilling through beams and studs in a new construction setting.

· Anticipate issues on site.

· Communicate with onsite superintendent or point of contact for the contractor.

· Provide clear instructions to the team daily.

· Communicate any concerns or developments to supervisors.

· Submit a detailed project update daily to supervisors to inform them of progress and any additional materials required to complete scope.

· Meet Project deadlines and provide timelines.

· Ensure customer satisfaction by efficiently resolving issues with a high level of service.

· Provide guidance and assistance to team members. Teach them the proper way of installation.

· Comply with all company policies, procedures, and health/safety requirements.

· Cooperation and participation with other foremen when assigned to the same project.

· Notifies warehouse and supervisor of additional materials required.

· Make sure van gets all services in a timely manner.

· Review blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and other documentation prior to project initiation.

· Document any project changes, such as modifications or upgrades, and provide detailed reports to supervisors.

· Terminate RJ45 and Coaxial cables.

· Knowledge of how to differentiate between different LV wires – Speaker cable, control cable, Ethernet, Coaxial etc.

· Meet at the office every morning on time.

· Assist in loading project materials into work vans each day.

· Unload materials at the job site.

· Use of PPE, hard hat, glasses, gloves etc. Steel toe boots

· Pull Wires through framing in new construction setting.

· Know which locations in the project require what kind of LV wiring (color and type)

· Differentiate between cable & color per location.

· Know how to correctly drill alarm contacts into windows & doors and the correct locations per project.

·Know how to independently run wires from Point A to Point B

· Make sure van is always stocked and has all materials to complete project.

· Strap down wires to framing in new construction setting.

· And any additional responsibilities as required.

_ Required Skills/Abilities_

· Must be able to communicate effectively with team leaders.

· Have and maintain safety working practices.

· Must have reliable transportation.

· Valid Driver’s License

· 5 years’ experience in the field

· Detail Oriented

· Excellent note-taking skills and ability to retain detailed information.

· Positive attitude with supervisors and team

· Willingness to improve and grow with company.

Education and Experience

· At least 5+ years of experience performing LV installation work.

· Vocational or technical school training preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders.

· Crawling in crawl spaces and attics when required.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

· Must be able to work at great heights.

Safety Requirements:

· Ensure that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is always worn when visiting any work site.

· Adhere to proper ladder safety protocols.

· Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and rules while working at any location.

· Wear appropriate work boots both while on site and off site.

· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud when installation is in process. Employees will be subject to weather conditions, not limited to rain, wind and heat and cold. Employees are required to wear protective equipment (PPE) as assigned by their designated work area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
