- Has solid knowledge and experience in the liquor industry
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, retention, training, development and performance management
- Ensure the store’s merchandising and standards are being implemented, measured, managed and maintained
- Provide leadership in the areas of Occupational Health and Safety and ensure that policies are being followed
- Knows how to prioritize and delegate duties to be accomplished, holding the team accountable
- Communicates clearly and confidently, both in writing and in person
- Lead by example with integrity, teamwork and a strong focus on safety
- Must be able to handle a physically active role: standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. in a fast-paced setting
- Following up and meeting with suppliers to support the store Manager
- Holds a valid SERVING IT RIGHT certificate
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and record keeping
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
As the Assistant Manager, you will be working closely with the store Manager. Together, you will be responsible for supervising employees, developing their skills, and ensuring the efficient functioning of your location. Your strong organizational skills will be essential in managing administrative tasks. Additionally, your ability to effectively communicate with both employees and customers will contribute to the success of the organization.
