Liquid Plant Operator - Seasonal – Calcium Division

Tiger is seeking a Liquid Plant Operator to act as a labourer in the Liquid Plant and Blend Plant.

What you will do in this role:
•Complies with all regulators, environmental and safety rules and standards, as well as company policies.
•Assists with and monitors PLC in Plant.
•Ensure product quality adheres to company standards.
•As required exchange information regarding Liquid Plant Production, maintenance, measurement, and other activities with direct supervisor, senior managers, and company executives.
Assist in loading or unloading bulk bags.
•Taking samples and recording results.
What we are looking for:
•Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
•Completion of high school, GED or equivalent.
•1-year related industry experience is required.
•Good verbal and written communication skills.
•Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Strong commitment to safety and the environment.
•Experience in working with valves, pumps, blowers, filters, forklifts, etc.
•Experience with Programmable Logic Control (P.L.C.) systems.
•Valid Safety tickets - H2S, Confined Space, First Aid, and Fall Protection, Elevated Platforms or forklift would be an asset.
•Experience with 2-way radios.
Physical Requirements/Work Conditions
•Work may be performed outdoors. Exposure to conditions such as extreme heat or cold is likely. Incumbents in this position must be able to operate company vehicles and equipment physically and legally. Must be able to perform work that requires walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, heavy lifting (50 lbs.), and climbing, including steps and vertical ladders. Personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety glasses, safety footwear, hard hats and coveralls are required.
•Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice. Working outside in adverse conditions.
