Job Summary
The ability to perform all aspects of the Lineworker job function including but not limited to the day-to-day aspects of maintaining and building overhead and underground electrical facilities. The ability to perform work in enclosed spaces, manholes, and vaults. Responsible various levels of learning, performing, and/or leading other lineworkers, material maintenance as well as, up to and including, aerial and underground work including utility distribution construction tasks. Working with a Live Safe mindset in all tasks; ensuring to mitigate hazards where identified.

All levels must be able to perform the following:
Maintaining a well-organized jobsite to ensure the surroundings are safe.
Learning, completing, and performing (Lineworker I-Sr) (as necessary) all mandated training, such as but not limited to, First Aid, CPR, etc.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the positionHigh School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum experience required of the position
Lineworker Mech, Helper - 0-1 year of experience required. Lineworker Mech, I - 6 months to 1 year of field distribution experience is required Lineworker Mech, II - 1.5 years to 2 year of field distribution experience is required Lineworker Mech, III - 2.5 years to 3 years of field distribution experience is required Lineworker Mech, Sr. - 3.5 years to 4 years of field distribution experience is requiredMinimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
Must be able to complete a fitness for duty testing and demonstrate physical strength to perform required tasks in all weather conditions. Ability to work irregular hours and out of town assignments as required. Good communication skills. Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks. Required to work safely and follow all Entergy safety policies and procedures. Ability to learn through classroom instruction, OJT and repetitive motions. Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and have the ability to mitigate the hazards. Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets. Ability to meet the public in a pleasant and tactful manner and understand the importance of delivering a high level of customer service. Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement. Demonstrated acceptance of a diverse and inclusive work environment and customer base. Additionally, must be able to walk on all types of terrain.

Must have valid drivers license. Must have the ability to obtain Class-A CDL.
