Indiana Michigan Power/AEP is currently recruiting for experienced electric utility line crew employees to join our growing team in the Benton Harbor, MI area.
The Line Servicers at I&M/AEP perform all types of work involved with the installation, rearrangement, maintenance, operation, removal and inspection of electrical transmission and distribution facilities. They provide first response to trouble calls; investigate, correct and clear trouble, and provide assistance to construction and repair crews, as required. All items apply to overhead and underground, as applicable.
The employee may perform miscellaneous, related, and incidental work in addition to that specifically outlined below.
Candidate must live within a 45-minute safe driving distance of the Benton Harbor, MI Service Center.

The Physical Demand Level for this job is: H – Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
