Job Summary
Perform all types of work involved with the installation, rearrangement, maintenance, operation, removal and inspection of electrical transmission and distribution facilities. All items apply to overhead and underground, as applicable. Employee may perform miscellaneous, related, and incidental work in addition to that specifically outlined below.The Line Mechanic A builds upon the skills, abilities and knowledge learned as a Line Mechanic B (or equivalent).
Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* Install and maintain transmission and distribution facilities and all types of line equipment on the most congested types of construction, energized or de-energized.Experience:* Successful completion of apprentice lineman training, including B-200 certification written test with a score of 80% or higher and successful completion of hands-on comprehensive demonstrations.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1) Shall have performed the duties of and have all the qualifications of Line Mechanic B or the equivalent and shall qualify through demonstration, examination and/or performance appraisal as determined by the Company.
2) A physical abilities assessment is also required for this position.
3) Successful candidate must live within a 30-minute safe driving distance of the Marion Service Center located at 4504 Lincoln Blvd. Marion, IN 46952.

Compensation Range:
$26.55-27.23 USD
The Physical Demand Level for this job is: H – Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
