In this position the candidate will be providing guidance and advising based on in-depth understanding of legal requirements and regulator expectations, in close collaboration with client's compliance legal department. .

Advise client on topics such as business transactions, compliance with the law, claim liability or legal rights and obligations. Interprets laws, rulings and regulations related to industry and business. Evaluates findings and develop strategies, typically to ensure that their clients' legal decisions translate to a strong bottom line. Transactional attorneys typically do not go into court. Works with moderate work direction and is skilled and knowledgeable to the position.

- Provide interpretation services of restricted party screening results to business lines

- Leading and developing collaboration / communication strategies to increase awareness of the Trade Sanctions & Export Controls compliance program

- Collaborating with and fostering a close partnership with Business Lines, Centralized Organizations and Compliance Law

- Developing and maintaining processes and tools in support of export controls and trade sanctions compliance

- Advising business lines regarding the proper application of trade sanctions & export controls regulations

- Identifying opportunities for improvements in the overall trade compliance program

- Developing and delivering trade sanctions & export controls training

- Provide export control classification of items manufactured & purchased by the Company

Job Requirements

- 10+ years work experience in export controls and trade sanctions compliance

- Expert knowledge of export controls and trade sanctions regulations, specifically those administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). EU and UK regulatory expertise is preferred.

- Strong critical thinking skills, process-oriented

- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a virtual team setting

- In-depth knowledge of best practices for export controls and trade sanctions compliance programs

Expectation is ONSITE at Spring campus

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Excellent communication, negotiation and writing skills. Experience and knowledge in risk management and evaluation. Applicable legal credentials and certifications.

Bachelors Degree in related field

Pay: $179.00 per hour
