The Primary function of the Lead Quality Control Inspector is to make sure that products and the manufacturing processes meet Turbo Drill Industries, quality and safety standards. The Lead Quality Control Technician ensures that the manufacturing process operates effectively and safely. The Lead Quality Control Technician is also responsible for making sure that employees follow documented guidelines. When a nonconformance occurs, the Lead Quality Control Technician is expected to use the appropriate reporting system for accurate documentation record, ensure nonconforming product does not reach the end customer.
- Directs workflow in Quality Control department
- Overseas employees in Quality Control department
- Creates work schedule for Quality Control department
- Inspects parts, assemblies and subassemblies to drawings and prints
- Initiates non-conformance reports on all parts and assemblies that are not to drawing and print specifications
- Assures that manufactured units meet quality control procedures, engineering specifications and customer requirements
- Initiates corrective action requests when conditions adverse to quality are repetitive in nature
- Completes, inspects and distributes all quality records and documents
- Performs specialized testing as required
- Verifies tests as required on all components and completed assemblies
- High school diploma/GED required
- Computer knowledge
