SUMMARY: Meeting or exceeding safety, quality, and production and delivery metrics in a production environment. In this role, the incumbent will drive continuous improvement across key business objectives. The incumbent also will interface with customers and senior management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Able to perform all duties and responsibilities of direct reports
•Acts as front line for direction, instruction and training of staff.
•Works in coordination with supervisor to manage the daily operations of assigned employee(s), assuring overall quality, productivity, and policy / contract adherence.
•Supports employee(s) by answering questions and assisting where needed.
•Assists employees in resolving customer inquiries/problems at the time of initial contact.
•Provides transfer where inquiry requires higher level of expertise.
•Performs the day-to-day responsibilities of assigned position.
•Performs, or assists in, the orientation and training of employees.
•Maintains and promotes excellent client relations by identifying and promptly responding to all questions relating to the business.
•Directs the activities of a manufacturing team within the assigned area.
•Achieves required safety, quality, delivery and performance levels.
•Develops, coordinates, leads and executes daily production plans.
•Fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
•Owns customer satisfaction with everything under your direction.
•Assists team by taking customer calls as required to meet service levels.
•Performs miscellaneous assignments as required and/or requested.
•Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Directly lead approximately five persons
•Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
•Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•3-5 years’ experience or related experience
•One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. High School Degree or equivalent preferred.
•Able Work in teams and communicate clearly with managers and other team members.
