Job Summary

CenterPoint Energy is looking for an Apprentice Lineman to join our Electric Distribution Operations Team, located in Houston, TX.

You will have the ability to: work in an entry level position which will qualify a person for advancement into Distribution Electric Operations skilled work. A successful candidate will be required to perform general labor and receive training under the direct supervision of a Head Journeyman. The labor is performed to assist in the construction and maintenance of high voltage electrical systems and will require working outside in sometimes harsh weather conditions.

Other testing (post-accident, reasonable cause, return-to-duty, follow-up, or return-to-work) may be required in accordance with work-related conditions.

Education Description

CDL preferred

Experience

Work experience in construction, skilled trades or maintenance of high voltage electrical systems, in an outside environment preferred.
