Ready for your next step? In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as an integral member of the Glencore Canada Corporate Legal team. Reporting to the VP Legal, you will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing an efficient and fully integrated property management department. This entails maintaining clear lines of communication with various internal and external stakeholders and reports including amongst the various Glencore Canada business units. Your main priority is to maintain and improve upon a property management system that will ensure all properties are maintained in good standing and meet all legal requirements.
This position requires structured problem solving and decision-making skills, as well as a need for attention to detail and precise accuracy due to the incredibly sensitive and complex nature of maintaining valuable company assets in multiple jurisdictions.
Your role as Land Manager is to ensure that all key operation, project, exploration and closed site property related assets are well managed, maintained and protected in all Canadian jurisdictions.
Glencore Canada is Canada’s largest critical minerals producer, with 7,000+ employees operating copper, nickel and zinc mines, smelters and refineries across the country on a 24/7 basis. The Land Manager will maintain and improve upon the property management system of Glencore in Canada and will be responsible for the oversight and management of historical property-related records. The Land Manager will also provide additional support functions to internal stakeholders including in supporting corporate efforts to engage regulators and external stakeholders to the extent that the subject of such engagement may impact land management.

Travel
: You are flexible to travel up to 20% within North America with additional opportunities to travel internationally.
Working Condition s: Based in Toronto, Ontario, the candidate should be ready to deal effectively with the stress of multiple demands and time pressures needed to meet deadlines. Some travel, sometimes on short notice, could be required and will include visits to Glencore operations offices and Government Agency offices. Must be capable of managing workload and exercise strong discretion in time-sensitive situations with potential severe ramifications in event of failure or oversight (ie: loss of key property interests at our mines/smelters)- stress level can be high.
