Labourers: Ground Crew & Arborist/Climber

Job Responsibilities

· Operate an array of equipment including; chipper, scissor lift, stump grinder, chain saws, hedgers and tree pruning tools etc

· Climbing trees using own climbing gear, in order to access the worksite, or supervise others using these items to ensure they are being safe

· Pruning trees, bushes and hedge trimming.

· Stump grinding

· Speak with the property owner to see what needs to be done.

· Ensure the worksite remains for coworkers, property owner and public.

· Clear the site once the job is done by cleaning of debris and ensuring all equipment is secured safely in trucks.

· Splitting wood with wood splitter.

· Daily attendance with prompt arrival and ready for complete work day.

Job Skills & Qualifications

· Arborist Certificate (an asset)

· ISA Certification (an asset)

· Experience working in tree or landscaping business

· Prior experience pruning trees, cutting trees, bushes and hedges

· Leadership skills

· Independent and Team work

· Valid driver’s license

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

. Willing to train

. Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and standing for long periods of time outdoors

. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: $19.00-$35.00 per hour
