Hourly wage : $26.10 ( shift premiums for afternoons/midnights)

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking to join our team. This position involves performing a variety of physical tasks to support our operations, assist melt, process, packaging and shipping departments ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials
- Performing general site housekeeping in the plant and surrounding yard
- Organize raw-materials, supplies and consumables
- Remove and empty waste material from manufacturing process.
- Safely operate floor sweepers, forklift trucks and fill propane tanks as trained
- Shovel gravel/stone/ product as required in all areas of the plant
- Following instructions, procedures, processes and all health and safety procedures including wearing of all required PPE
- Working as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently
- Store all tools, equipment and supplies away in their designated areas
- All other duties assigned by leadership or designate
- Must be able to understand and interpret written procedures for startup and shut down of associated equipment
- Must have minimal mechanical skills
- Must be able to work with hand and pneumatic tools
- Comprehension and ability to complete required reporting documents prior to end of each shift
- Must be able to operate a forklift truck, and propane filing process (ability to be trained within a timely manner)
- Basic math skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Safety-conscious attitude
- Must be able to work in Canada and reside near Welland, Ontario.
· Completion of Secondary High School Diploma/GED equivalent
· Ability to withstand cold weather and high heat/humidity working conditions and the odors associated with the steel making process
· Ability to work scheduled shift work including weekend and OT when necessary
· Ability to work at a minimum elevated height of 15 feet about ground
· Ability to climb ladders/stairs and traverse the grounds
· Able to conduct repetitive movements with including shoveling and manually moving material.
