Laborer / Driver

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.

Duties

- Safely operate a vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.

- Load and unload goods as necessary, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.

- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.

- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients at delivery points.

Requirements

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Proven experience as a driver or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.

- Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.

- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading/unloading.

- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.

- A commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism on the job.
