Laboratory Supervisor

JOB FUNCTION/ PURPOSE

The Laboratory Supervisor assumes responsibility for insuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the Laboratory Department including analytical, regulatory, and administrative activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Making recommendations on employees regarding employment, performance appraisal, salary changes, promotions, transfers, or terminations. + Insuring productivity levels are maintained through effective monitoring of staffing levels and financial requirements. + Guiding personnel to achieve optimum performance levels.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or other applied science and 5 years of related laboratory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
