We are looking for an intern at our Fall River plant. The Intern would be responsible for tasks assisting with laboratory sampling and testing of conventional constituents.This is a temporary part-time position.

Responsibilities

- Learn through observation.

- Learn to complete checklists for laboratory equipment and perform lab work related to calibrating meters and taking samples.

- Learn to operate a variety of laboratory equipment to measure pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, and other conventional pollutants.

- Learn to conduct routine testing and interpret results of water quality samples. us basic laboratory analyses.

- Assist in the design of water quality-related public education and outreach materials for distribution to inform the community of what the WWTP, WTP, and MS4 does to keep water quality high.

- Assist at public education events as needed, providing customer service as required.

- Other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Enrolled in High School.

Licenses/Certifications: None.

Technical: Ability to follow manual and operating instructions. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and internet.

Communication: Communicates clearly and professionally. Contributes to a positive internal and external customer experience. Willing to help others. Maintains composure in challenging situations.

Problem Solving and Quality: Pays attention to detail. Identifies and solves problems with guidance. Escalates issues accordingly. Checks work for quality.
