is an underground potash mine located 90 kilometers south of Yorkton. Its split between three mine sites - K1, K2 and K3 which will be the largest, and one of the world’s most competitive underground potash mines in the world.

Lab Technician Student Co-Op/Intern

will be responsible for accurately performing all routine and non-routine shipping, refinery and field samples in a safe and timely fashion. May 11 to August 21, 2026

Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week on site.

What will you do? Day To Day Duties Will Include

- Ensure safety and housekeeping standards by applying the proper chemical handling, sampling and analysis procedures, and safety programs.

- Plan and perform high quality, accurate, thorough and timely sample preparation, analysis and reporting.

- Holding/releasing railcars/unit trains and ensuring specifications are met during the manufacture and loading of Industrial and Agricultural products.

- Analyze and evaluate problems including troubleshooting instrument issues. Making sound conclusions and decisions based on the information available.

- Work as a team member demonstrating cooperative and team building skills both within the laboratory and with other departments

- Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies

What do you need for this role?

- Second year or higher pursuing a diploma in Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineer, Environmental Engineer, Geological Engineering or any related Science degree.

- Attention to detail and being able to multitask and prioritize workload.

- 72% Percentage or higher.

- 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.

- Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred but not required.

- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.

- Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship

- Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete the following: Post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.

- Basic computer skills are required.

- Experience working in a team environment is a must.

- Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable.

- Effective verbal communication skills is a plus.

- Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments.
