This position is an in-office position at our Rock Hill, SC facility and will report to the Lab Manager.
The Lab Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide customer service to internal customers, which includes performing routine technical tasks and experiments to support the validity and quality of Possehl Connector Service’s products. The Lab Technician will also set-up our laboratory, conduct lab-based experiments for the chemical component of our production process, and record and analyze results.
- This position is for our 3rd Shift, 9:00pm to 7:00am (Monday - Thursday). Hours are subject to change based on production schedule and customer demand. The hours posted represent our current production schedule.
- Performing routine chemical analysis by titration, AAS, or UV/VIS
- Collecting and preparing samples as well as ensuring safe disposal of chemical waste
- Transferring chemical drums, which contain hazardous materials, to production lines, vacuuming chemical waste, and replacing chemical make-ups for the electroplating process
- Set-up, test, adjust, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment
- Recording, analyzing, and writing reports on findings of chemical usage.
- Maintaining SPC files using TrueChem software.
- Attending production pre-shift meetings to communicate current chemical analysis as it pertains to current production
- Other duties as needed and directed by the manager
- Knowledge of computers
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Lifting required (lifting up to 50 lbs.; moving 55-gallon drums >100 lbs.)
- Frequent contact with hazardous chemicals
- High School Diploma
