Position Description:
Join Our Team at Pogo Mine in Alaska as a Kitchen Janitor! Ensure top-notch cleanliness in our Lodge Kitchens and Dining Rooms while assisting with general kitchen duties. Be part of a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining a spotless environment and smooth kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
•Ensure the highest sanitation standards are maintained.
•Maintain the good appearance of all equipment and report any maintenance issues.
•Clean the Kitchen and Dining Room following safe work procedures and use of PPE
•Deep clean all areas of the kitchen such as
•All Kitchen equipment, inside, outside, the tops, bottoms, behind and under
•All walls, doors, ceilings vents and all surface areas.
•Daily High Dusting and Low dusting.
•All touch points, storage areas and shelves
•Washrooms, offices, walkways, ramps, loading bays and stairways.
•Unplug and move equipment to ensure that all areas are cleaned to standard
•Sweep, scrub, wash, and polish floors; clean rugs.
•Ensure all flatware, pots, pans, and plate-ware are cleaned, sanitized, and up to Lodge standards.
•Perform facility clean-up (tables, chairs, floors, etc.).
•Inspect equipment and food preparation areas on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
•Follow requirements of the Health, Safety, and Environment Management System[.
•Actively involved in ensuring safe procedures and adherence to government regulations as well as ATCO Frontec Health and Safety policies and procedures.
•Other duties as assigned by Management and the Chefs.
Skills and Competencies:
•Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised or unsupervised[.
•Ability to prioritize and multitask.
•Work well under pressure.
•Can perform repetitive tasks
•Physically demanding job. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
•Good oral and written communication skills
•Good organizational skills.

•Can work day shifts and night shifts
Education and Experience Requirements:
•Alaska Food Safe Certificate required
•Experience in a remote camp environment is an asset
•Driver’s License is preferred
•Must be able to legally work in the USA
