Journeyman Electrician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both commercial and industrial electrical work, with proficiency in various electrical systems and tools. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can read blueprints, schematics, and has hands-on experience with high and low voltage systems. The Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical installations and repairs.

Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.

- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters, power tools, and hand tools.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of wiring systems.

- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper functionality of automated systems.

- Perform renovations and upgrades on existing electrical systems as needed.

- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during all installations.

- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

- Proven experience as an electrician in both commercial and industrial settings.

- Strong understanding of electrical systems including high voltage, low voltage, and renovation projects.

- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters.

- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.

- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety practices.

- Maintenance Person experience is a plus for additional versatility on the job.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.81 - $35.90 per hour
