THE POSITION

KEYERA is currently seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our Alberta EnviroFuels Facility (AEF). As a valuable member of the Alberta EnviroFuels Maintenance Team and reporting to the Electrical Team Lead, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting/repair duties for all electrical equipment within the facility.

RESPONSIBILTIES

•

Provide troubleshooting and problem solving with specific attention to safety, quality, and plant production.

•

Troubleshoot and repair EHT circuits in live plant, Thermon and NVent systems.

•

Maintain, repair, test, and installation of heat trace, VFD’s, UPS, Motors, Transformers, Switchgear, Relays, and other assorted electrical components.

•

Troubleshoot 600V and 4160V motors, MCCs and Switchgear.

•

Follow lock out tag out (LOTO) procedures as required.

•

Rotational roles such as planning, scheduling, and projects.

•

The successful candidate is expected to join and collaborate with cross functional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

•

Journeyman Red Seal Electrical Ticket, Previous experience (5-10yrs) in a live plant.

•

Extensive Industrial maintenance experience, Power System experience is an asset.

•

Ability to read engineering drawings (Loop drawings, Data sheets, Elementary, Panel Schedules, etc.).

•

Experience with Maximo work order processing is considered an asset.

•

Valid H2S, Fall Arrest, Man Lift, Arc Flash certifications/tickets would be an asset.

•

Must be able to work overtime and accept callouts as required.

•

Strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment; with the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

•

This role requires the candidate to wear respiratory protective equipment. As per Alberta OHS 250(2), the candidate must ensure an adequate seal where the face piece of the equipment seals to the skin of the face.
