Position Overview:

Grace Electric is hiring a dependable and highly skilled Electrical Journeyman with strong experience in commercial and residential electrical systems. The ideal candidate must be bilingual (English and Spanish), hold a valid driver’s license, and have a deep knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). The candidate should be capable of working independently, while also supervising apprentices when needed and ensuring quality, code-compliant installations.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial properties.

•

Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to plan and execute electrical installations.

•

Lead and oversee the work of apprentice electricians on larger projects, ensuring tasks are performed to company standards and code.

•

Layout and install electrical conduit (EMT, PVC, MC, etc.), panel boards, switches, outlets, lighting systems, and service gear.

•

Perform service upgrades, rough-ins, trim-outs, and final punch/walk-through inspections.

•

Conduct load calculations, voltage drop assessments, and panel/load balancing.

•

Identify materials required for each job and communicate needs to project managers.

•

Work on both low voltage systems (e.g., CAT5/6, coax, fire alarm, security) and high voltage power distribution (120V–480V).

•

Ensure all work complies with NEC and local building/electrical codes.

•

Maintain a safe work environment, following OSHA standards and company safety protocols.

•

Provide daily progress updates and report any project issues to supervisors or foremen.

•

Communicate effectively with homeowners, builders, inspectors, and internal team members.

Required Qualifications:

•

Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License or Equivalent proven Experience

•

Minimum of 5-7 years hands-on experience in residential and commercial electrical systems.

•

Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).

•

In-depth knowledge of the NEC and local building codes.

•

Strong understanding of blueprint reading, layout design, and job site execution.

•

Proficient with electrical testing tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.

•

Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor apprentices and manage small crews.

•

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

•

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
