The Jewelry Shop Tech plays a crucial role in the production and preparation of our exquisite jewelry pieces. This position requires a meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic production environment. It is integral to maintaining our high standards of quality and efficiency. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
· Proficiently operate and monitor various automated machinery used in the jewelry manufacturing process.
· Perform routine checks and minor adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance and product consistency.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area around machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
· Carefully and accurately package finished jewelry items according to established guidelines and brand standards.
· Ensure proper labeling, boxing, and protective wrapping to prevent damage during transit and storage.
· Provide comprehensive support to the assembly team, assisting with various stages of jewelry construction.
· Utilize small hand tools with precision and attention to detail for delicate assembly tasks. This includes, but is not limited to, setting stones, attaching clasps, and joining components.
· Follow detailed assembly instructions and diagrams accurately to ensure product integrity.
· Inspect assembled pieces for quality defects and report any issues to the jewelry shop lead.
· Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs regularly. This includes handling material bins, moving stock, and organizing finished products.
· Capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks requiring fine motor skills.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: This position has no travel requirements.

A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and a minimum of six months prior job experience and/or related training in a production environment. Experience working in a machine shop or metal fabrication shop is desirable.
Any experience with work order or inventory software systems is a plus.

Must be able to respond clearly and concisely to inquiries and questions from internal team members, managers, external customers, sales reps, and across departments both verbally and in written correspondence. Must have the ability to communicate respectfully and cooperatively with other team members. Must keep supervisor apprised of progress or alert for arising issues that require additional support or escalation.
Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, decimals, and common fractions. Must have the confidence to research and question others to bring clarity to ambiguous situations. Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, driven to deadlines, and able to effectively take feedback from others. The environment requires the ability to effectively multi-task and concentrate on one’s own activities, while being aware of others’ activities. Must demonstrate a positive work attitude and desire to learn with an openness toward continuous improvement and operational excellence. Accuracy of work product with a strong attention to detail and friendly communication style with an ability to work as part of a team is a must. Must be willing to work overtime.

The noise level varies in the work environment and is usually moderate but may be loud from time to time. Temperature in the warehouse may vary between 60 and 90 degrees in extreme periods of heat on occasion.
