Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented janitor to join our team. The janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment in and around the facility. This includes performing routine cleaning tasks, minor maintenance, and reporting any safety hazards or repair needs.
Key Responsibilities:
•Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels).
•Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors in hallways, offices, and other public or staff areas.
•Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners.
•Dust and clean furniture, windows, and other surfaces.
•Monitor and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
•Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
•Report any damages, repairs, or safety issues to the supervisor promptly.
•Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
•Previous janitorial or custodial experience is a plus.
•Ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor buffers, etc.).
•Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
•Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
•Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Work Environment:
•Indoor and outdoor work environment.
•May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and other potentially hazardous materials.
•Evening or weekend shifts may be required depending on facility hours.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
